A total of $1.8 billion has been bet worldwide on the U.S. election, Polymarket says


This year’s U.S. presidential election has suddenly made betting on politics a topic of mainstream conversation.

As many people have pointed out, Donald Trump has taken a commanding lead with some of the bookmakers and online betting sites, even while the opinion polls see the race pretty much a coin toss.
